2. Duplex ultrasound in an experined laboratory, gives an accurate assessment of the size
of the aneurysm (maxiumum diameter) and the presence and nature of endoleaks. This
patient has a large type II lumbar artery endoleak.
3. If necessary, supplemented with a contrast CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis with
arterial and delayed images. The endoleak (contrast appearing inside the aneurysm sac)
is well shown in this patient (Arrow).
