Aorto-Bifemoral Bypass
A male heavy smoker presented with right toe gangrene and rest pain. Clinical
examination showed a regular radial pulse, and femoral pulses were absent. A
CT aortogram showed occlusion of the proximal infrarenal aorta and both iliac
systems. The aorta was very calcified, and occluded about 1.5-2 cm below the
18 renal arteries.
