SMA Embolectomy





    A middle age patient with recent myocardial infarction an on left ventricular assist device
    (LVAD) became progressively more acidotic.



    Emergency contrast CT showed filling defect in the superior mesenteric artery, together
    with evidence of small bowel malperfusion.
