SARS-CoV-2 virus is found in high abundance in

the nasopharynx and oropharynx. TORS can lead

to aerosol dispersion which in turn increases the

                      risk of disease transmission.

The following set-up was first described by our

team in an attempt to reduce viral transmission

                      duringTORS:

                      • Placement of Wishbone® Frame and Omni-Flex®
                          Post after docking forTORS.

                      • Placement of two sterile plastic sheets over the

operative field. The cranial sheet was fixed with 4
sterile clamps on the Wishbone® Frame. The 2

sheets were taped together using adhesive 3M tape.

Additional adhesive 3M tape was used to create a
water-tight seal at three-point junctions between

the 2 plastic sheets and each of the 3 robotic

                          cannulae.
                      • Connection of system to suction with smoke and

viral filters Chow VL, Chan JY, Wong MM, et al.
                                                                                                                                                   J Robot Surg. 2021 Feb 6;1-8.
