SWALLOWING OUTCOMES
Time to oral feeding and self-reported swallowing-associated quality-of-life questionnaires do not
show significant difference between those who underwent GPU and FJ for PE reconstruction.
GPU patients complain of early satiety and reflux symptoms.
FJ patients complain of nasal regurgitation especially on thin fluids and repeated swallowing for
clearance of food boluses.
