Nasal endoscopy shows the presence of a
tumour growth in the nasopharynx. Diagnosis is
confirmed by endoscopic guided punch biopsy
of the tumour for histopathological examination.
Ultrasonography of neck and aspiration for
cytology to confirm the presence of cervical Endoscopy shows a tumour arising from
nodal metastasis. the posterior wall of the nasopharynx
MRI scan with contrast of the nasopharynx and
skull base provides an accurate assessment of
the local extent of the primary tumour.
Whole-body PET scan provides information
regarding the presence of systemic metastasis.
PET scan shows a hypermetabolic tumour
in the right nasopharynx
