Combined effects of radiotherapy and surgery cause fibrosis of the masticator muscles, leading to
trismus. Reduced production of saliva and osteoradionecrosis of the maxilla and mandible significantly
increase the denture related complications. This patient also suffers from osteoradionecrosis of the
cervical vertebrae, leading to the exposure of necrotic bone at the posterior wall of the oropharynx.
