Infected EVAR
Fasciotomy
n infected EVAR graft is a highly lethal
Acondition. This patient has a EVAR for a
suspected mycotic aneurysm in 2015. Subse-
quent CT scan showed a diffuse mass around
the aneurysm with involvement of the R psoas
muscle and vertebral body. There is evidence
of gas inside the aneurysm sac suggestive of
gas-forming organisms. Treatment would
require surgical removal of the graft, wide de-
bridement, and extra-anatomical bypass with
significant mortality risk.
35 yr old male presented
with acutely swollen and
tense lower limb with
ECMO in situ.
