Above Knee Amputation
This is a patient with critical limb ischaemia presented with left 4 toe tip dry
th
gangrene
He suffered from left SFA long occlusion. Angioplasty was attempted but failed
Further major bypass surgery was not suitable due to high anaesthetic risk with
recent myocardial infarction.
The foot condition rapidly deteriorated in 3 months to involve the lateral forefoot
A prompt revascularization is warranted if possible in critical limb ischaemia to
aim limb salvage
