Emergency CT angiogram of the thorax and left arm showed a large left sided empyema,
   and obvious filling defect in the left subclavian artery. The patient did not have any
   dysrhythmias, but the sepsis may have induced paroxysmal atrial fibrillation in the recent
   past. Another differential diagnosis would be a pre-existing left subclavian artery stenosis

   with in-situ thrombosis.
