Non-salvageable Leg
A 91-year old bedridden lady pre-
sented with very advanced lower
limb ischemia. Due to her poor
general status, this was not discov-
ered until very late. The leg was
cold, paralysed, showed signs of
deep cyanosis with peeling skin. It is
already non-salvageable.
The cause was not exactly known,
and can be missed acute embolism
or acute thrombosis.
The relative chose not to have an
amputation and the patient will
eventually die from sepsis.
