Surgical Short Case
















































































          The diagnosis is Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI).
 Running commentary:

          The etiology of CVI is most commonly primary. However, I will examine the
 I see a healed ulcer on left medial ankle (C5 on the CEAP grading).  abdomen and the groin for any mass.



 The left leg is hyperpigmented compared to the right.  I will further work up the patient with an ultrasound of the left lower limb veins

          to delineate the Etiology (congenital, primary, secondary), Anatomy (superficial
 Lipodermatosclerosis is absent.  veins, deep veins and/or perforating veins) and the Pathophysiology (reflux   77
 There are no varicosities seen on standing.  and/or obstruction)  CEAP grading.
