Diabetic Foot Wet Gangrene



















































































         A elderly man with diabetes mellitus and chronic renal impairment presented with 2
         weeks’ history of progressively worsening wet gangrene of the lateral aspect of the left
         foot, progressing to the left 4th and 5th toes. He also had high fever and leukocytosis on
         blood test. Culture swab showed mixed growth of Streptococcus agalactiae, Coagulase

         negative Staphylococcus, Diphtheroid bacilli, and Globicatella species.
