Maggots
This patient suffered from critical limb ischaemia with gangrene of the foot. Maggots
are found inside the wound.
Maggots feed on dead and necrotic tissue. They are usually found in neglected
wounds. Maggot therapy can also be applied medically under a controlled condition
using disinfected maggots.
