Hemodialysis Machine



















































































       Patients who underwent major vascular procedure may have renal failure, necessitating tem-
       porary haemodialysis in the intensive care unit (ICU) for peri-operative renal support. A can-

       nula needs to be inserted into the central venous system of the patient for continuous renal
       replacement therapy, and these catheters are mostly inserted into the internal jugular vein,
       subclavian vein, or in femoral veins. Patients in ICU can have intermittent hemodialysis (IHD) or
       continuous renal replacement therapies (CRRT).                                                          39
