Popliteal Artery Aneurysm




























                                                                    A 81-year old man presented with a pulsa-
                                                                    tie mass behind his left knee.  CT showed
                                                                    a  L popliteal aneurysms 42mm.


                                                                    The main risk of popliteal aneurysm
                                                                    would be distal embolization and throm-

                                                                    bosis rather than rupture.


                                                                    This was treated endovascularly with a
                                                                    7mm x 15cm long PTFE covered stent
                                                                    (Viabahn)
