      bleeding, red arrow)                                                                                                        Transarterial embolization with coils or glue is the standard treatment of
                                                                                                                                  splenic artery aneurysms that are symptomatic or reach a certain size (usually
                                                                                                                                  2cm maximum diameter).  Smaller, incidental splenic artery aneurysms are

                                                                                                                                  usually observed.  Open surgical repair or splenectomy are alternatives that are
                                                                                                                                  seldom indicated.
