AAA with Iliac Extension

                            CIAA-CT pre.mp4

A 72-year-old lady presented with a pulsatile abdominal mass. Clinically it is an

abdominal aortic aneurysm. CT aortogram showed a 5cm infrarenal AAA with
bilateral common iliac aneurysm and a 2cm left internal iliac aneurysm.

One of the requirements of a successful AAA repair in patients with common iliac This aneurysm was treated by EVAR. Left IIA needs to be sacrificed
artery aneurysms is to preserve at least one internal iliac artery to reduce the
chance of bowel ischemia. In EVAR there are a number of methods, the most by embolization and right IIA was preserved with an iliac branched

common of which is the use of an iliac bifurcation device - a small branched device device (IBD).
to effect a side branch covered stent to an internal iliac artery.
