A veloped infective complications with intra-abdominal sepsis. He had a 1cm splenic artery
aneurysm at the hilum which became infected. The mycotic aneurysm enlarged rapidly and
became irregular on serial CT scan. Three weeks later the mycotic splenic aneurysm ruptured
and the patient went into severe hemorrhagic shock. The above set of CT scans illustrated
the evolution of the infection. Note also the septic, enlarged spleen
