Venous Malformation

30-year old lady has a size-
A able intramuscular venous
malformation in her left calf.
She had transarterial emboli-
zation 8 years ago with tem-
porary improvement, but the
lesion recurred.
She was treated this time with
a direct injection sclerothera-
py using 3% sodium tetradecyl
sulphate in foam mixture.
Larger lesions may require mul-
tiple injection sessions. Pain
and inflammation are tempo-
rary.
