REGIONAL FLAPS

                   For more extensive defects,

                   tissue from areas further

                   away from the head and

                   neck region may be sought

for coverage such as the DP

                   fascio-cutaneous flap and PM

                   myo-cutaneous flap from the

                   anterior chest wall, and LD

myo-cutaneous flap from the Deltopectoral (DP) Flap

                   back.

                   These have classically been

                   considered the workhorse

                   flaps for head and neck

                   reconstruction due to it’s

                   robust blood supply and

                   ease of flap harvest.
