In our center, selective neck dissection is
offered, removing nodal basins with the CNXI
highest chance of metastasis i.e. levels I, II SCM
and III in oral cavity cancer a.k.a. supra-
omohyoid neck dissection.
This serves as a means to detect micro- IJV
metastasis which is ~8% and hence, stage the CP
neck more accurately a.k.a. staging neck
dissection. Such benefits outweighs the risks
of neck dissection, which is minimal in On completion of supra-omohyoid neck dissection via an
