Patient with the highest MELD score and the

same blood group as the donor gets the next

available deceased graft.

For paediatric patients (younger than 12 years old),

the PELD score is used which also takes into

account of growth failure and serum albumin level.

Bonus points system will be applied to exceptional

conditions e.g. hepatocellular carcinoma,

hepatopulmonary syndrome, polycystic liver disease
