Forefoot gangrene
Outcomes of two different patients
This patient had a “auto-amputation”. The dead gangrenous tissue detached after
prolonged period of dressing care to prevent infection. This avoids the risk of having
an amputation surgically.
This patient suffered from infection (wet gangrene) of the forefoot gangrene.
Surgical forefoot amputation performed. Second stage partial thicken skin grafting
