Another, younger 37-year old patient with

an incidental CT discovered splenic artery
aneurysm of 15mm diameter.

While this aneurysm does not actually
reach the normal threshold of 2cm diam-
eter for treatment, a decision was made
to treat this aggressively with coil emboli-
zation due to the eccentric saccular mor-
phology which may cause a higher risk of

rupture.

The patient is concerned and agreed to the
procedure, which was uneventful.
