Mycotic Aortoiliac Pseudoaneurysm





            A middle aged man presented with one week’s history of fever, night sweats,
            lower abdominal pain and backpain. CT showed a pseudoaneurysm of the lower
            abdominal aorta and left common iliac artery. Blood culture was positive for

            Salmonella typhi, a bacteria that infect the intestinal tract and the blood.  A
            diagnosis of mycotic aneurysm was made.
