The goals of TEVAR are:
(1) Cover the PRIMARY Tear
(2) Preserve the Left Subclavian artery (which supplies the Vertebral artery)
(3) Reduce flow in the False lumen to promote later thrombosis
In this patient, the left VERTEBRAL ARTERY originates at a very short distance from
the left subclavian artery origin (Arrow).
A custom made single FENESTRATION graft was planned with a short covered stent
into the left subclavian artery to preserve the vertebral flow.
