Iatrogenic radial artery pseudoaneurysm Ultrasound guided probe compression on the neck of the pseudoaneurysm
was performed manually. Whilst the blood flow into the pseudoaneurysm was
controlled whilst the pressure was on, this did not lead to thrombosis of the sac after 1

hour of manual compression. This first line treatment was unsuccessful.

                                     Probe compression on aneurysm neck

A patient presented with progressive swelling and bruising the the forearm 2 weeks
after trans-radial coronary angioplasty. Examination showed a pulsatile expansile mass

near the puncture site. Emergency duplex ultrasound examination showed a large
pseudoaneurysm arising from the right radial artery.
