PREFACE
                                                                                   Preface

A slightly late issue, but we hope it is worth the wait. We have the largest
issue ever at 91 pages with 31 videos, depicting the work of a busy Vascular

             Surgery unit.

It has been a busy month. We have a collection of vascular emergencies that a

student would seldom encounter: from acute lower limb ischemia, iatrogenic
injury, to complications from acute Type A and Type B dissections. Also
included were advance treatment options for short neck AAAs (and their
shortcomings), and the latest deep vein intervention and venous stents. We

also included standard operations like carotid endarterectomy, varicose vein
treatment, and arteriovenous fistula dialysis access.

These are the work depicting the typical activity of a busy tertiary Vascular
Surgery unit. I hope the unique varieties of diseases, the challenge of
emergency, and a plethora of technology would prove attractive to our

             students and residents.
