history of left ilio-femoral
vein DVT. The veins failed
to recanalize and caused a
chronic occlusion to venous
return. He presented with
chronic left leg swelling.
Venogram showed left iliac
vein occlusion with abun-
dant collaterals.
Is DVT more common on the
left leg or right, or the same
on both sides?
