Venous Intervention Venous Thrombectomy

Another patient with ACUTE left iliofemoral DVT treated with mechanical thrombectomy
of the superficial femoral vein (deep vein), followed by balloon angioplasty and stenting of
the external and common iliac vein.

Promising early results if treatment can be rendered early, and better venous stents now

provide longer durability. However long term patency and freedom from chronic venous
        hypertension is still debated.
