Venous Intervention
SZH Venous.mp4
A patient with CHRONIC venous occlusion of his left iliac veins, presenting with leg swell-
ing. There are abundant collaterals on venogram. A stenosis at the left common iliac vein
was identified and successfully recanalized with balloon angioplasty.
Venous interventions are getting more common, but clear indications remain to be estab-
lished. Long term anticoagulation and patency issue are the main concerns.
