Varicose Vein Cyanoacrylate Glue Treatment

             ndovenous Cyanoacrylate glue treatment for lower limb varicose vein using the Ve-
         Enaseal System. (Non-ablative).  After guide wire access and catheter placement just
          distal to the sapheno-femoral junction under ultrsound guidance, a very small amount
          of glue is introduced into the vein to glue the vein closed for later sclerosis and absorp-
          tion.



          The main advantage is that it does not require a large amount of local anaesthesia and
          no tumescence.  Unlike heat-based procedures such as endovenous laser or radiofre-
          quency ablation, there is no risk of skin burns or nerve damage, and no compression
          is required.  Recanalization (up to 25% in one year) may be an issue, particularly with
          larger veins.
