Careful inspection showed that the patient also had gangrenous patches in the toes,

                                                                                                                            indicative of peripheral arterial disease.


   Chronic Ischemia: Atherosclerosis










       Changes or malformation of the nail (onychodystrophy) can have due to trauma or

       fungal infection (onychomycosis). Abnormal toe nails may also be an early marker of
       peripheral arterial disease. This patient has abnormal chronic thickened toe nails
       presented with cold feet.
