Femoral Endarterectomy                                                                                              Clinical examination showed absent right femoral pulse with a calcified artery. Duplex
                                                                                                                            confirmed total occlusion of the common femoral artery with a occlusive plaque with

                                                                                                                            low flow in the superficial femoral and profunda femoris arteries. The patient
                                                                                                                            underwent open femoral endarterectomy.
    An elderly patient developed painful gangrenous changes in the big toe, which developed
    after minor trauma. There were also symptoms of rest pain and nocturnal coldness.
