QMH Burn Unit
Our Burn Unit is equipped with burn dressing
facilities, isolation rooms, and trained
personnel for the care of major burn victims.
Our skin bank processes and stores cryo-
preserved cadaveric skin graft, which is used
as a means of dressing for patients with major
burns.
Surgical bath is provided for
wound cleansing and dressing.
There are heat radiators
installed, ensuring patients do
not suffer from hypothermia
during bathing
Crane systems are available to
help transfer patients to and
from surgical bath facilities.
This reduces shearing and pain
associated with bed transferal.
