Surgery may be offered for patients with

severe contractures with significant

functional deficit which is not amenable to

conservative management.

This is a patient who sustained

circumferential deep dermal burn after

flame injury. Early surgical debridement and

skin graft was performed.

However, he defaulted physiotherapy

training and developed left elbow scar

contracture, whereby he cannot extend his

left elbow.
