(I) ICG angiography

Indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescent imaging is

used as an adjunct for burn wound depth

        assessment.

For superficial wounds patients will not need surgery.

For patients with full thickness burns, surgical
        debridement is warranted.

For patients with superficial to deep dermal burns,

the role of surgery may be less apparent at initial
presentation. Prolonged dressing may lead to

hypertrophic scarring and yet early debridement

for all may lead to over-treatment.
