Reconstruction outcomes
Chow VL et al. Int J Surg. Oncol. 2011; 2011:890908
RIGHT: a pigmented ulcerative BCC over left cheek which
was excised with 2 mm margin, followed by primary
wound closure
BOTTOM: a pigmented ulcerative BCC over right preauricular
region. After tumour resection, the defect was
reconstructed with a full thickness skin graft
LEFT: a non-pigmented nodular BCC over nose tip which
was excised with a 2 mm margin, followed by
reconstruction with a local flap (a bilobed flap)
TOP: a pigmented ulcerative BCC over right auricle which
invaded into the parotid gland; facial nerve was
intact. Wide local excision of tumour with total
conservative parotidectomy was performed. The
defect was reconstructed with a free flap
(anterolateral thigh myocutaneous flap)
