Extramammary Paget’s
disease
An uncommon intra-epidermal carcinoma of
apocrine gland-bearing skin
The most frequently involved anatomical sites
include the scrotum, penis, vulva, axilla and perineal
and perianal region
Potential of dermal invasion
Regional lymph node / distant metastasis
Association with carcinoma of bladder, colon,
kidney and prostate.

The commonest presenting symptom is pruritis
Features: erythematous, weepy and scaly
Mimic eczema, psoriasis, Bowen’s disease, tinea cruris,
etc
High index of suspicious is necessary in persistent
lesions and requires biopsy for definitive diagnosis
Complete surgical resection with intra-operartive
frozen section for control of margins is the treatment
of choice
