ENDOSCOPY
Endoscopic examination is used to assess
the rest of the upper aerodigestive tract
including the nasopharynx, oropharynx,
laryngo-pharyngeal apparatus, esophagus
and trachea.
In addition to routine white light, narrow
band imaging and Lugol’s chromoendoscopy
should be used to detect superficial
squamous cell carcinoma and multicentric
squamous dysplasia.
