PAROTID GLAND TUMOUR
It is important to note the site, size, shape, surface,
consistency and mobility of any salivary gland
tumour.
Deviation of uvula may signify enlargement of the
deep lobe of parotid gland. The deep lobe of parotid
gland is the part of the parotid gland that lies
medial to the facial nerve.
A hard parotid tumour together with CNVII palsy
and enlarged cervical lymph nodes are indicative of
a malignant parotid gland tumour.
