PAROTID GLAND TUMOUR

It is important to note the site, size, shape, surface,

consistency and mobility of any salivary gland

                     tumour.

Deviation of uvula may signify enlargement of the

deep lobe of parotid gland. The deep lobe of parotid

gland is the part of the parotid gland that lies

                     medial to the facial nerve.

A hard parotid tumour together with CNVII palsy

and enlarged cervical lymph nodes are indicative of

                     a malignant parotid gland tumour.
