• Duplex scan consists of B-mode ultrasound to visualize the vascular structure together
with color-coded Doppler to evaluate the blood flow.
• It can be used for assessment of abdominal aortic aneurysm, carotid stenosis and
lower limb occlusive disease, as well as deep vein thrombosis and chronic venous
insufficiency.
