Plain X-ray showing a Supera stent placed across the knee joint in a very calcified popliteal artery,
with a focal area of compression. This is a self-expanding, helically woven braided nitinol stent
designed to be resistant to the flexion and rotational stress in the femoro-popliteal system, and
has shown encouraging mid term patency. Accurate deployment to avoid unintended elongation,
which would compromise its radial strength.
