An Infected Groin Wound is a serious complication after Vascular
Surgery, especially when there is a prosthetic graft. This patient has a femoro-
femoral bypass with an infected wound. The underlying PTFE prosthetic graft was
exposed, and likely infected. Conservative treatment is rarely successful and usually
removal of the graft is required. Lower limb revascularization will be a challenge to
re-establish flow via an alternative route in an uncontaminated field. The viability of
the patient is threatened. OMNIPAQUE (Iohexol) is a non-ionic, water-soluble radiographic contrast me-
dium commonly used in angiography. It can be diluted from the 300mg I/ml con-
centration. Side effect includes renal toxicity and hypersensitivity reactions.
