Unsalvageable Leg
his elderly patient has pain and coldness in the left lower leg for more than 4 days.
TThere is no sensation and no motor function beyond the knee. There is fixed mottling
of the skin. This is very advanced unsalvageable ischaemia. Revascularization is not ap-
propriate, and the treatment would be a primary amputation in the form of above knee
amputation.
