PHYSICAL EXAM
Clinical examination aims to assess the following:
• Synchronous lesions within the oral cavity and oropharynx
• Cervical lymphadenopathy suggestive of cervical nodal metastasis
• General condition e.g. nutritional status and anaemia
• Evidence of distant metastasis e.g. hepatomegaly, localized bony tenderness and pleural effusion
