After resection of tumour, all soft tissue
margins were sent for frozen section to
ascertain microscopic tumour clearance.
Frozen section of the CNVII stump yielded
microscopic tumour deposit. Hence
mastoidectomy was performed to give us
access to proximal CNVII (right). CNVII was
resected proximally until frozen section of
nerve stump confirmed microscopic tumour
clearance.
