CVI: Stasis Dermatitis














































































                 Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI) results in venous hypertension and pooling of
                 blood in the veins, resulting in stasis dermatitis.  The skin become tan or a red-
                 dish-brown color initially around the ankle, but frequently occur over the shins and
                 on the foot.
