Buerger’s Disease

This is a cigarette smoker suffering from Buerger’s disease (or thromboangiitis
obliterans). This is a non-atherosclerotic disease caused by inflammation of the

small and medium sized artery . He has cyanosis of all the toes and gangrene of the
left 4 toe. All peripheral pulses are palpable to signify small vessels involvement

only. Smoking cessation is important to prevent progression of disease
